We have a few different ideas for Tournaments and Fundraisers
Airmail Challenge
Equipment Needed: Airmail box and raffle tickets
– Everyone interested pays $5-$10 for a raffle ticket. People can buy as many tickets as they want.
– At the cutoff time, 4 tickets are drawn.
– First ticket drawn gets 4 throws at the airmail box. Each bag in the hole is worth 25% of the pot.
– Second ticket drawn gets 3 throws at the airmail box. Each bag in the hole is worth 25% of the remaining pot, max of 75%.
– Third ticket drawn gets 2 throws at the airmail box. Each bag in the hole is worth 25% of the remaining pot, max of 50%.
– Fourth ticket drawn gets 1 throw at the airmail box. If the bag goes in the hole, they get 25% of the remaining pot, max of 25%.
– All leftover money goes to the cause or carries over to the next tournament or league night.
* Make this a spectacle, when it is time, have everyone line the side of the court to add pressure to the shooter. This can be the highlight of a tournament or fundraiser!
Cornhole 8 Bagger Challenge
Equipment Needed: Cornhole board and 8 Cornhole bags numbered 1-8.
– Everyone interested pays $5-10 for a chance to get the largest score. You can choose to let players replay for another ticket cost.
– Each player throws the bags in order from 1-8.
– Each bag on the board gets its face value towards the total.
– Each bag in the hole gets its face value times 3 towards the total.
– At the end of the tournament the person with the highest score gets 100% of the money, or you could pay out places (1st – 60%, 2nd – 30%, 3rd 10%).
– If this is a fundraiser, the winner would typically get 50% of the pool, allowing the other 50% to go towards the cause.
